Elizabeth Stanley worked on Capitol Hill and Democratic campaigns for more than two decades. A native of Alabama, she most recently was Chief of Staff to Congresswoman Nita Lowey of New York, the first woman to chair the House Appropriations Committee, after having begun her Hill career on New York Senator Chuck Schumer’s first Senate staff.
Elizabeth was integral to Chairwoman Lowey’s ascent in leadership and her policy achievements on local, federal and international priorities. In addition to engaging with committee and Congressional leadership staff on high profile political and policy battles, she directed Lowey’s efforts as a Co-Dean of the New York Congressional Delegation and as a member of the Democratic Steering and Policy Committee. Elizabeth offers keen insight into the federal appropriations process along with experience on a wide range of issues from pandemic and disaster recovery and foreign assistance to health research and development, non-profit security, consumer safety, and more.
